The visual identity for Mais Alois, the new album by the band Douleur d'Avion, is based on a direct engagement with the lyrical content of the songs, which address themes of love, distance, alienation and the influence of the digital world, as well as travel as both a physical and emotional experience.

The concept is structured around the contrast between old and new. Vintage travel imagery and familiar objects, such as an old telephone, are combined with clearly digital elements including pixelated typography, image distortions and visible pixel structures. This contrast reflects the tension between analog intimacy and digital communication present in the album. The project was shortlisted by the band as one of four proposals to be further developed and published.
